I am here just waiting for Hurricane Irene to come and decided to share a card. It helped to take my mind off of things. I am really worried! The worst is not suppose to hit us until early Sunday.
The scale of kite to tail did not look right to me when I first made the card. Here is the card when I originally finished it.
So I took the kite off the card and added the a slightly larger backing to it. Let me know what you think.
Much better! Have a great rest of the weekend and be safe everyone!

Summer is here! Time to take out your flip-flops if you haven't yet. I took the flip-flops from the Stampin’ Up set Sunny Fun and colored in with their markers. The “hello” is from Papertrey Ink’s Mega Mixed Messages set.

Happy Father's Day
My very first post! Yippee!
Hello there! Father’s Day is on Sunday and I wanted to share the card I made for my dad. He is a philatelist (stamp collector) so I knew I had to use Papertrey Ink’s stamp set Post Marks. In addition, I used Papertrey Ink’s My Hero, My Dad for the sentiments on the front and inside of the card. Since my husband also collects stamps, he helped me design the card. My husband also wants to make sure everyone realizes that philatelists are hip and cool people. :)
Have a great day!
Supplies:
Clear Stamps: Post Marks and My Hero, My Dad (Papertrey Ink)
Cardstock: Basic Grey, Sahara Sand (Stampin' Up) White (Papertrey Ink)
Die: Postage (Papertrey Ink)
Ink: Fired Brick, Broken China, Black Soot, Bundled Sage, Chipped Sapphire, Forest Moss (Ranger), Versamark (Tsukineko)
